Kenya Trip 2012!

This is Madi Williamson, club president of Nehemiah FC! Although as a blogger and sports journalist I love words, sentences, paragraphs... all that good stuff, I'll list out my agenda in this post to make things clear and concise.

In August of 2013 we are organizing a trip to Kenya to establish the club's football academy and have a grand opening ceremony and party to celebrate our progress. As much as I would love to be able to do this on my own, I need some help! Ideally we will take anyone who is in good health and ready to help out. However there are some specialists we would love to take along. Here are the kinds of people we need:

  • Soccer players/coaches/fans with a solid understanding of the game of soccer
  • Photographers- Ideally with your own equipment but I will be taking a nice camera and several video cameras. We will be collecting game footage, TONS of photos and conducting video interviews with some of our players. Hopefully this material can be used to make a documentary which means we need lots of it! No experience necessary just be good with cameras and comfortable asking people to pose for pictrues ;)
  • Medical Personnel- Anyone with any kind of formal medical training (EMT, PT/PTA, MD, dentists, eye doctors whatever works!
If you or someone you know fits any of the qualifications or are still interested in coming, please contact us through one of the emails listed below. Also "like" Nehemiah FC on Facebook, follow us on twitter (@NehemiahFC) and subscribe to this blog for updates on the club and the team trip in 2013.
The estimated cost for this trip is $4,000 for housing, airfare (the most expensive part) and food. Amounts of money from our fundraisers can be granted to help our volunteers cover the costs. The amount you get will be based off of hours of involvement in fundraising events and how much money we raise :)
